I know what you mean. I made this commitment with myself to write a haiku a day for April. Seventeen syllables a day, I thought. How hard could it possibly be, I thought. The answer? Surprisingly hard. Sometimes obviously so. And yet I won't let myself quit. I think I'm encouraged because one or two of these is bound to be good, and that makes the whole thing worthwhile. I know when I don't write inspiration comes less often. But, writing without inspiration is like clawing the words from my soul.
